I currently offer client services in:
Counselling and Psychotherapy work with a range of therapeutic tools such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EDMR), EFT, SET, Brief therapies that can help you reach your positive goals and create desired changes.
Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, works directly with your subconscious mind to build resourcefulness and inner change.
Some of the issues I help with are listed below. There are also many things that I help with that are not on the list, so please contact me to discuss your specific needs.
In many counselling work areas, the focus is on the discovery and overcoming traumas of the past. Whilst this is great, sometimes you may not be able to deal with the past. Trauma could sometimes take a long time to discover - if being discovered at all.
Hypnotherapy works slightly differently.
Hypnotherapy is an Effective Therapy Model. It doesn’t go into the past. Instead, it focuses on where you are now and what you want to achieve moving forward. This is a great way to move forward and towards your goals (instead of looking back at painful traumas and experiencing them again and again).
One of the ways that Hypnotherapy does this is by working with your unconscious mind. It focuses on creating deep internal change within your subconscious mind that then bubbles up into your conscious mind. This shift creates a shift within you and helps you with the way you think and feel.
When your subconscious mind is shifting your conscious mind, your brain chemistry starts to stimulate neural pathways. This means that your brain is starting to help you in the background to create positive changes. All without you even realising it.
In 25 years of performing clinical Hypnotherapy, nothing is more rewarding for me than being able to help people with my skills.
Over the years, many people have come to my clinic and benefited from Hypnotherapy.
Yes. Helping children is also one of my passions.
I’m currently working with children who are referred from the Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital. I also work with children who are referred from Doctors and Dentists who want to help their patients in change.
I work with children in the following areas:
Every child has an inner wisdom and a genius within. Through Hypnosis, we can communicate that with your child and build an everlasting positive change with your child.
It truly is exciting for me to see how quickly children can reach a positive outcome.
If your child needs assistance, please contact me to see what we can help with.
Yes, I do.
In the current situation of COVID, many people are feeling stress and anxiety. In some cases, if they have a phobia, it could get worse as well.
Anxiety and phobia can create problems with how you function and work at home.
It can interfere with your quality of life and be crippling at times.
I’ve worked with people with Anxiety, Phobia, PTSD, fears, confidence and identity issues for over 25 years. Using Hypnotherapy, we can focus on building on change and helping you create a new way of feeling that empowers you every day.
As little as 3 or 4 sessions may be all you need.
We currently have a Trained Therapy Dog Bonnie on site that may help with your sessions.
Bonnie is my Cavoodle and she is a trained Therapy Dog with a calm demeanour and gentle and friendly disposition. She has been supporting my work with clients young and old.
I work with clients from children through teens and adults addressing concerns with stress and a broad range of emotional, medical and physical issues.
Many of my clients have reported that her presence helps them relax and feel less stressful on arrival and during their sessions.
The benefit of this relaxation is that can help you progress moving into change.
The use of dogs for therapeutic reasons has been demonstrated by many people over the last few centuries, including Florence Nightingale, Sigmund Freud and Elaine Smith.
Hospitals, Doctors, Chiropractors and other therapists are increasingly acknowledging the value of therapy dogs and incorporating them in referral programs.
