Signs of anxiety and disorders have a complicated network of causes, including:
Environmental factors: Elements in the environment around an individual can increase anxiety. Stress from a personal relationship, job, school, or financial predicament can contribute greatly to anxiety disorders.
A panic attack is a sudden, intense episode of fear that happens along with physical symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness and a racing heart. Panic attacks may be triggered by specific situations and generally occur in people with a diagnosis of panic disorder, but may be a symptom of other signs of anxiety and disorders. For some people, they happen regularly and worrying about them happening can cause further anxiety.
Other symptoms of anxiety may include excessively worrying about the past, present or future, feeling apprehensive or powerless, and feeling like something bad is about to happen or that you’re in danger.
Your mind might race, you find it hard to think and you might have difficulty concentrating and remembering things. The feelings can become so bad that you avoid situations that make you feel anxious.
The first step is a Medical review with your Doctor, there can be underlying health issues that need to be addressed. Once your doctor has reviewed your symptoms, they may suggest you visit a Psychologist, Counsellor or Clinical Hypnotherapist, that could help you recognize the signs of anxiety. It may take time to feel better, but getting professional help can support you in managing anxiety and reduce its effects on your life and wellbeing.
Hypnotherapy has been proven to be an effective therapy to reduce symptoms and support the client in change. A Clinical Hypnotherapist will work with your unconscious mind to support you in discovering different ways to relax, different ways to deal with stressors that can build into anxiety and will also give you a range of tools to continue working with at home.
Through Clinical Hypnosis you can find relief and a new kind of inner strength and wisdom that serves you well. I did, I originally went through a cyclone on a ship and when I returned home, I was anxious about travel of any kind and found myself often on guard. I went to a few Hypnotherapists before I found a professionally trained Clinical Hypnotherapist who changed my life.
Over a series of sessions, I regained my power, felt more in control and today (some 20 years later) am still in control of my anxiety. I get stressed sometimes but now find I can clear that with these wonderful tools I learned through Hypnosis.
